Manual Handling Instructor Course Background:
This course is for individuals who wish to carry out risk assessments & provide manual handling training in the workplace. Manual Handling Instructor Training is also required to become a Patient handling instructor in addition to the patient handling instructor course.
Manual Handling Instructor Course Objectives:
• To gain an Understanding of the health and safety legislation regarding Manual Handling
• To equip the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence to effectively design and deliver manual handling instruction in the workplace
• Understand the limitations of the spine and muscular system
• Learn how to conduct a manual handling risk assessment
• Lift and handle objects safely
• Understand correct lifting techniques
